Bitcoin? That’s right. I recently had a potential new client reach out to me about an easy testimonial video. I was all set to do the video, and she had already sent me the script. Then, we had to discuss payment. I gave her about four different options to pay me because I am used to having many international clients so I know that everyone likes to pay in different ways.
However, I have to say, this may be the first time I’ve been offered Bitcoin in return for my services. Now, if I was cooler and understood how to use Bitcoin, I might have considered this offer? Hmm…
As it stands though, I am old school, and my bills get paid in good old fashioned American dollars. Perhaps if she had offered me an ice cream gift certificate or a week of pizzas from my favorite place, I might have been inclined to accept this forward-thinking proposal and eagerly completed her video project ahead of schedule! 🙂
This is certainly not the first time I have had difficulty accepting payments, and I am sure it won’t be the last. Thanks to my clients for always keeping me entertained.
